He’s got a big face
And he controls the tides
Is he, is he a wizard?
Can he, can he travel through time?
Some say he has ridiculous muscles
While others, they say he’s covered in spines
Could it be that he’s made of an unknown metal?
Could it be that he’s able to fly?
He’s a lovely bloke, he’s got a heart of gold
The greatest of all of us
He’s nothing if not capable
He’s the ultimate hero
His powers are barely contained
Legend has it that his voice is the cause of thunder
Stories tell that he can breathe flames
His skin is impervious to all but the strongest of energy
He deflects blows at speeds impossible to comprehend
His defences are completely impenetrable
His counter attacks cannot be defied
He’s a lovely bloke, he’s got a heart of gold
The greatest of all of us
There’s nothing he’s not capable of
He’s got super strength and cat like reflexes
International top bloke
Hard as nails and with an indomitable will
International top bloke
Extraordinary elemental abilities
International top bloke
An unstoppable force with boundless energy
International top bloke
A meticulous mind full of good deeds
International top bloke
Powers the likes of which we’ve never seen
International top bloke
He can level a building
And rebuild it in the blink of an eye
He can project heat vision, whilst protecting the innocent
He can call lightning down from the sky
He defies the laws of physics to bend time and space
He can control matter with his mind
He’ll turn you to stone, he’ll tear you apart
He’ll save you from the villains
He’ll blast you with force, he’ll vanquish the foes
He’ll carry you home, he’ll save the day

The Beast
05:18
|
|
||
The beast comes lumbering
and throwing its weight around
With clumsy gestures
and bellowing of uncouth sounds
They were not prepared for
such displays of savagery
An affront to their
quaint and peaceful way of life
But it keeps coming and towering over everything
A frightening presence
A cause for much concern and dismay
And it keeps coming and stumbling over everything
So large and inscrutable
It’s here uninvited and cannot be reasoned with
Still it keeps coming and threatening their property
It doesn’t belong here and surely will cause values to decline
And it’s still coming, won’t somebody do something?
It’s brutish and threatening
They don’t want it near them, make it go away
Help them! it’ll trample over everything
Stop it! it could cause so much damage
Send it back to where it can’t bother them
Punish it for what it might do
It doesn’t care
It’s always walked there
Why would it not?
It won’t stop
It’s just passing through

Geoffrey

Look at Geoffrey
He’s got it all figured out
A cushy little number
Away from the beasts
Hindsight is unclear
Did he bring it on himself?
The escape did not help
Friends in high places
He’s protected here
Up out of the way
It’s his own little world
And he knows its limits
Tasks to complete
The comfort of routine
Balance in all things
Careful maintenance
The plants need feeding
The plants need care
They say it can’t go on
That time has run out
But he can’t let it end
He’ll take drastic action
So he’s in charge now
He’s got a role to fill
This, this is purpose
And he’s doing his part
They will never understand
On the outside
But it matters here
And it’s all that he has
All by himself
They’ll come for him soon
But he’s not going back
The plants need feeding
The plants need care
The plants need attention
The plants need care
It’s safe in here
For a time

Dungeon Master

Endless darkness
Crumbling shrines
Creeping madness
Crawling slime
Twisting tunnels
Ancient gloom
Lurking evils
I’m the dungeon master
Rotting ruins
Shifting spires
Nameless horrors
Crawl through the mirk
Cultists offer
Blood sacrifice
Good friends gather
I’m the dungeon master
Gaping chasms
Blackest abyss
Snacks are scattered
Across the table
I’m the dungeon master
Looting corpses
Rolling dice
I’m the dungeon master

Have you tried walking?
Have you tried meditation?
Have you tried a healthier lifestyle?
Have you tried not letting it get to you?
Have you tried rest?
Have you tried medication?
Have you tried hope?
Have you tried giving up?
I’m not well

Uncle Tommy

He used to be a big man
He used to be a big man
A bit older now
But he knows how it works
He knows how it should work
He has worked so hard
For all that he has
And he’s not going to share it
He’s got to protect it
He’ll look after his own
But that’s where it ends
He’s paid his way
It’s not a free for all
He’s got his values
He knows what he’s been told
They’re not going to change him
He’s set in stone
It’s not like it used to be, in fact it’s a disgrace!
His importance erased
He’s been told who they are, and they’re changing everything!
Proud traditions replaced
He’s heard they’re on their way here and carry sharpened knives
And he’s chosen his side
He’s heard all he needs to hear and he knows what’s right
You’re not changing his mind
He used to be a big man

A Reminder
10:03
|
|

Try
Again
So many ways to measure worth
So many ways to waste your time
Is it good enough?
Are you going places? Have you made it? Are you there?
Are you getting noticed? Do they like it? Do you care?
Are you making money? Are you happy? Do you know?
Are you really trying? Are you failing? How’d you tell?
So what?
